I hear ingenuity in there, too! Will your child be keen to reassemble it?
My kids are now nearly 12 and 9 and I swear by this perspective as a truly honest and effective parenting means.
My husband USED to make similar remarks. He thought I was a crazy optimist and giving the kids too much love. He's come around the benefits and embraces it now, too.
This approach was actually taught to me by a parenting coach when my then non-verbal 2 year old would push kids over at a playgroup. It was highlighted to me that he was standing up for himself and that was an admirable attribute. Sure, the behaviour undesirable; however, behaviours can be taught. The personality and depth of character, that cannot be taught - so lean into it and finds opportunities to further support that strength.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
